What is a Ceramic Coating

Imagine your vehicle wearing an invisible suit of armor that not only shields it from the harsh realities of the road but also enhances its appearance. This magical transformation is the work of ceramic coatings, a revolutionary advancement in automotive protection.

At its core, a ceramic coating is like a superhero shield for your car's paint. It's not a wax or sealant; it's a liquid polymer that chemically bonds with the factory paint, creating an unyielding, transparent layer. Think of it as a second skin that becomes one with your vehicle's clear coat.

This microscopic marvel is not just for show. It's engineered to endure, providing long-lasting protection against the relentless environment your car faces daily – UV rays, bird droppings, tree sap, road salts, salt water and contaminants that would otherwise compromise your car's finish.

The secret lies in its nanostructure. The ceramic coating forms an incredibly hydrophobic surface, meaning it repels water and everything it carries – dirt, grime, and pollutants. This not only makes your car a breeze to clean but also ensures that it stays cleaner for longer periods.

But the real enchantment happens when the sun kisses your car. The coating's reflective properties intensify the natural gloss of your vehicle, creating a depth and brilliance that turns heads wherever you go. It's not just protection; it's a cosmetic enhancement that elevates your car's aesthetics to a level you might not have thought possible.

So, a ceramic coating is more than a protective layer; it's a transformative experience for your vehicle. It's the promise of enduring beauty, effortless maintenance, and a shield against the elements for years to come. Ready to let your car step into its superhero suit?

What Is The Process Of Applying A Ceramic Coating?

A quality Ceramic Coating application lies in the preparation and Paint Correction steps that the vehicle will go through for hours before even breaking out the coating bottle. In this preparation stage the vehicle must be thoroughly decontaminated, polished, inspected, made sure there is absolutely no polishing oils left behind. Once all this has occurred a Ceramic Coating can then be applied and leveled.

Wash/Decon

A meticulous wash, using high-quality cleaning agents. This not only removes dirt and grime but also sets the stage for decontamination. Clay bars or other decontamination methods are employed to eliminate surface contaminants, as well as old waxes or sealants.

Paint Correction

For vehicles with imperfections like swirl marks or light scratches, a paint correction step is introduced. This involves polishing and buffing the paint to restore its flawless appearance. Even brand new vehicles often times will require a light polish to ensure the surface is free of all imperfections and as clean as possible.

Surface Prep

The paint is then subjected to further preparation, often involving alcohol or solvent-based solutions. This step ensures a completely clean and grease-free surface for the ceramic coating to bond effectively ensuring you get the full longevity of the coating.

Ceramic Coating

Finally, it's time for the star of the show – the ceramic coating. Applied in a controlled environment, the liquid polymer is methodically spread over the vehicle's surface. Its chemical composition enables it to form a molecular bond with the factory paint forming an ultra slick and glossy appearance.
